Eduardo Camavinga: The dream signing Bernabeu awaits

Eduardo Camavinga has grabbed much in the headlines in the 2019/20 season with his performances for Rennes in the French Ligue 1.

There is an increasing support at Real Madrid that the youngster would be a good buy, with others also seeing him as a player whose future lies at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Camavinga has been labelled in France as the new ‘Paul Pogba’ despite playing a more defensive role, and has been touted as the player to provide competition for Casemiro.

In Rennes win over Paris Saint-Germain in the league, the 17-year-old justified why an €80 million price tag has been slapped on him. He has been linked with almost every top club in Europe, but Real Madrid are looking to act smart in acquiring his signature.

The development of Camavinga could be hampered according to many as a result of Casemiro not showing any signs of slowing down, meaning the teenager could only come in as a back up. But a fight for a spot could be up for grab should the player make a big money move.

Positive reports from scouts are only increasing the chances of Zinedine Zidane bringing the young midfield maestro to the Bernabeu, with fans already looking forward to see him in the Los Blancos jersey.

With the ongoing novel virus, it is not clear how the transfer market would bounce back but should every fall in line, Camavinga could be heading to the Bernabeu in a big deal worth between €90-100 million.
