Mayoral is currently on loan at Levante for the second consecutive year having failed to establish himself as a starter at the Spanish capital.

The 23-year-old current has a year left on his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, with his contract set to expire in 2021. He is expected to available on the market for a discounted fee considering the length of his contract with Madrid.

The Spain international has not been too convincing for Levante in his 30 games played this season, but has managed eight goals and an assist to his name. At age 23, the forward more years ahead of him to get better and realise his full potential.

With Madrid looking to recoup money in the coronavirus period, Mayoral looks certain to leave in the summer.

The frontman was a great hit for Los Blancos during his time in the junior side but has failed to live up to that expectation leading to a drop in his value.

He had previous enjoyed a loan spell at German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg before deciding to work things out in the La Liga with successive loan deals at Levante. However it the two Valencia-based clubs who are showing interest in signing him to a permanent deal this summer from Madrid.

It is reported that Valencia have the upper hand over Villarreal due to contacts made with the player and his entourage earlier in the season.

Florentino Perez would be listening to offers for the player this summer and will be open to the desires of the player as well before any decision is taken.

A deal of around €3 – €5 million would be enough to convince Madrid into selling, as they look to cover up the potential financial impact of the covid-19.
