The Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium has served as a good venue for Real Madrid since the restart in June but today seemed to have been a little different of the path of the Zinedine Zidane’s men.

They suffered a shocking 0-1 defeat at the hands of Cadiz on Saturday, a result that has left many questioning the credentials of the manager once again.

A performance with so many question marks: sloppiness, unconvinced and very abysmal in the eyes of supporters but even on a bad day, others turn to provide moments of individual brilliance.

Here is our rating of the Madrid players after today’s La Liga game with Alvaro Cervera’s side;

Thibaut Courtois – 6.9 – The brightest of all Lo Blancos players on the pitch. The goalkeeper left the park with his head high, continuing his impressive outing once again over the weekend.

Nacho Fernandez – 5 – Didn’t really get the best of performances on the night. The versatile player was outplayed by his brother on the right hand side and was lucky not to have received much criticism.

Raphael Varane – 6 – Not the best of nights where he gets to impress at the back of the team but Varane was just as sloppy as the whole team was.

Sergio Ramos – 5 – Ramos was lucky to have escaped a red card after a kick to Anthpny Lozano but the Spain international quite a remarkable clearance off the line earlier in the game.

Marcelo – 5 – The Brazilian was limited with his movements due too Cadiz’s high pressing and found it difficult to link up with Vinicius Junior anytime he surged forward.

Luka Modric – 4 – Far from the best we have seen from him recently. The Croatia international gave away too many passes during his 45 minutes on the park.

Toni Kroos – 5 Like Modric, Kroos also looked sluggish during the entire game and his substitution was worth it though it yielded nothing.

Isco – 4 Ever seen the Spaniard played this badly? His substitution at half-time just was an indication of how poor he was. Always looked disconnected from his mates in the final third.

Vazquez – 4 Not much to say about his performance but after a long time out he looked far from his usual best.

Benzema – 5 Try everything possible to find the back of the net with his best only hitting the crossbar in the second half.

Vinicius – 4 The 20-year-old is still a long way off getting the best out of his decision making. Sloppy and indecisiveness looked his biggest problem.

Substitutes

Luka Jovic – 4

Marco Asensio – 4

Valverde – 4

Casemiro – 4

Eder Militao – 5
