Martin Odegaard, 22, the Norwegian captain, is the prime target of Premier League side Arsenal. Odegaard, who could not get many minutes under his belt at Real Madrid last season, spent half of the season on loan at Arsenal. The 22-year-old adapted well in Mikel Arteta’s team scoring two goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League side.
The Norwegian midfielder caught everyone’s attention at Emirates during his loan spell. Arsenal now wants the midfielder on a permanent basis from Madrid. The Gunners has been in pursuit of Odegaard for a long time and has prepared an offer of 50 million euros for Martin Odegaard.
The 22-year-old playmaker also desires to join the Gunners because of the guaranteed playing time. But the recent injury to fellow mate Dani Ceballos has put Odegaard’s transfer move on hold. Carlo Ancelloti is now left with limited options in midfield because of the injuries to Ceballos and the German midfielder Toni Kroos, who has suffered a sports hernia.
