Real Madrid will be looking to extend Real Betis’ winless run in the 2021/22 Spanish La Liga when the two meet on Saturday.

Betis is on the search for the first win of the season after two draws in the opening two fixtures against Mallorca and Cadiz.

Real Madrid has had a good start to the campaign after taking away four points in the first two games Deportivo Alaves and Levante.

Carlo Ancelotti has limited options in midfielder as both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric continue to battle with injuries but the Italian can call on a number of options to serve as a replacement for this weekend’s games.

Antonio Blanco, Isco, and Marco Asensio are all players that the gaffer could give minutes to for Saturday’s game and here we take a look at the possible starting lineup.

Goalkeeper – Thibaut Courtois

Despite conceding four goals in the first two games, Courtois has been a full force for Madrid and is expected to keep his place in goal against Betis on Saturday.

Defenders – Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, Miguel Gutierrez

Dani Carvajal made a return to action last weekend in the game against Levante and will be expected to assume his post in Saturday’s game.

Miguel Gutierrez could also benefit from Nacho Fernandez’s injury with David Alaba set to partner Eder Militao in the central defence for Madrid.

Midfielders – Fede Valverde, Casemiro, Isco

Ancelotti is widely expected to go with the same midfield three that started the game against Levante. Isco looked heavily involved and it was unfortunate he had to be replaced midway through the game.

Valverde and Casemiro will keep their places in the team in the absence of any last-minute injuries.

Forwards – Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior has had a bright individual start to the campaign after scoring three goals in his first two games. He is likely to replace Eden Hazard in the starting line-up.

Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale could also maintain their spots.

Real Madrid predicted XI vs Real Betis: Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, Miguel Gutierrez; Fede Valverde, Casemiro, Isco; Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, and Vinicius Junior.
