Real Madrid are reportedly close to signing Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The 18-year-old is expected to join the Los Blancos this summer after a deal was reported to have been reached over last night, pending medicals.
Madrid were initially bent on signing Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe this summer but all attempts have failed to convince the Ligue 1 club, with Madrid moving quickly to close the signing of Camavinga.
There had been earlier reports by the French media that both the Spanish side and Rennais were both in advanced talks for the completion of the deal.
Sources also made it clear that the French international wants to leave Rennes now rather than leaving the French side in 2022 as a free agent.
Camavinga has been with the club since 2018, after being promoted from the junior team.
The teenager has played 88 times for the Ligue 1 outfit across all competitions since making his debut, scoring twice and providing five assists during that time.
In terms of discipline, Camavinga has been sent off on one occasion, while also being at the receiving end of the yellow card on 14 occasions.
Eduardo Camavinga is expected to get underway at the club once the signing is closed, with no loan deal involved as reports indicate he is wanted by Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
