Real Madrid will now continue their La Liga campaign this week after a short international break. They will go up against Celta Vigo on matchday 4 at their home, Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, where they will play for the first time in nearly 18 months.

Real Madrid, who currently sits on top of the La Liga table with 7 points, will be expecting stiff competition against Coudet’s men who have failed to register a win in their first three matches.

Carlo Ancelotti will most probably stick with the 4-3-3 formation for the first home game of the season. The gaffer will be welcoming many of his key starters this matchday, with Marcelo, Mendy, Nacho, Modric, and Lunin all returning to the squad.

The Italian will have a decision to make in midfield given the injuries to Toni Kroos and Dani Ceballos, and even Luka Modric won’t be fit enough to start the game. So, Ancelloti will probably consider the idea of including Eduardo Camavinga, whom Los Blancos signed on the deadline day, in his lineup. The Frenchman also took part in the weights session along with his new teammates on the presentation day.

The Brazilian players Eder Militao and Casemiro are not expected to be in the lineup on Sunday after a late arrival from their international duties.

Here is our predicted lineup for the game against Celta Vigo:-

Goalkeeper – Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian is more likely to retain his place in the goal and will be full of confidence going into the game after earning his first clean sheet of the season against Real Betis. Further, Courtois came in big with sublime saves for Belgium and kept one clean sheet in the first two games.

Defenders- Miguel Gutierrez, David Alaba, Nacho, Dani Carvajal

Miguel Gutierrez had a brilliant game against Real Betis in his first start of the season and is expected to be in the lineup against the Celestes in place of Marcelo, who has just returned from injury.

The Austrian captain is enjoying his time at the club, having made a bright start to the campaign. Alaba is more likely to play in his preferred center-back position and, he will have a grueling task against Iago Aspas.

Nacho, who missed the trip to Real Betis due to muscular injury, has returned to training and is expected to pair up with Alaba at the back. Nacho was solid in the defence for Los Blancos in their first two games with some crucial blocks and tackles.

Dani Carvajal scored the only in the encounter against Betis and was industrious throughout the game in his first start for the club after being out for a long time due to injury. Carvajal constantly provides a wide option on the right for his teammates while attacking.

Midfielders – Federico Valverde, Antonio Blanco, Isco

Valverde has been phenomenal after his return from an injury. The Uruguayan injects pace in the midfield.

Blanco is expected to start in the middle of the park after giving impressive performances last season. The Castilla man is solid in front of the defence and very precise in his passing.

Isco will be hoping to improve his performance after a considerably poor performance against Pellegrini’s men.

Attackers – Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior

Gareth Bale put a staggering show for Wales, scoring a match-winning hat-trick against Belarus. The Welshman is looking in good touch for the club as well, with impressive performances in the opening games, and will be hoping to keep his place on the right.
