After an emphatic 5-2 victory against Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday, the European giants will begin their UCL campaign tomorrow against Inter Milan away from home.

Real Madrid won both the matches in the group stage when these two teams met in the previous season of the Champions League.

The Italian champions are a strong side, and now with the inclusion of Calhanoglu in the midfield and Edin Dzeko upfront, they can upset any defence. Inzaghi’s men play compact and are rock solid defensively, so it will be a grueling task for the visitors to put the ball in the back of the net. After earning 7 points out of a possible 9, Inter will be full of confidence and try to give it their all to take their revenge against the Spanish side.

Carlo Ancelloti will be without several first-team players after the addition of Marcelo and Gareth Bale to the list of injuries, alongside Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy, who were already injured. David Alaba’s return to fitness after missing the game against Celta Vigo will definitely provide a boost to the visitor’s squad. The Italian will surely expect a better defensive performance from his team after being vulnerable on numerous occasions in La Liga. The selection of the starting XI will be a headache for Ancelotti, as many key players have looked tired and require some rest. Los Blancos will surely be hoping to commence their UCL season on a winning note.

Here is our predicted Real Madrid XI against Inter Milan for their first game UEFA Champions League 2021-22:-

Goalkeeper:- Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian is in excellent form and will keep his place between the sticks. Courtois will be aiming to return with a clean sheet from the trip to Milan.

Defenders:- Miguel Gutierrez, David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal

Gutierrez is most likely to start at the left-back position after both Marcelo and Mendy have picked up injuries. He has given many promising performances, but this will be a tough assignment against the Italian opponents.

Austrian defender David Alaba will most probably pair up with Militao at the center of the defence. The duo will have a laborious task against the likes of Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez.

Carvajal needs to be at his best both offensively and defensively to restrict Perisic. The Spaniard needs to be more focused and confident to avoid miss passes, and he also needs to whip in some delicious crosses.

Midfielders:- Luka Modric, Casemiro, Federico Valverde

The Croatian maestro is getting better with age. Modric will be handled the responsibility to orchestrate the game, he can pick stunning passes to break open the opposition’s defense.

Casemiro, with his physicality in front of the defense, can help the team with crucial blocks and tackles. The Brazilian is surprisingly seen plenty on the ball under Ancelloti.

Valverde is more likely to start in the middle of the park with Modric and Casemiro. The midfielder is productive and never looks tired. The Uruguayan can hurt Inter on counters with his pace.

Attackers:- Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard

Vinicius Jr has become one of the first names on the team sheet after phenomenal performances in recent times and is in the form of his life, scoring four goals in four matches in La Liga. Vini can destroy any defense with his blistering speed and trickery.

Benzema is one of the most predominant players in the squad and will be full of confidence after scoring that hat-trick against Celta.

On his day, Hazard can break open any defense with his prowess. The Belgian had a good start to the season and is looking fit and confident. He will surely be one of the key players for Blancos at San Siro.

Real Madrid predicted XI vs Inter Milan:- Thibaut Courtois, Miguel Gutierrez, David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Caravajal, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard.
