Brazil international, Vinicius Junior has been named as the club’s player of the month for August.
The winger scoops the award following an impressive start to the 2021/22 season for the Los Blancos.
Vinicius Jr has certainly developed under the new manager Carlo Ancelloti. The youngster constantly torments the defence with his pace and trickery and has become more threatening now with his calmness while scoring goals.
The 21-year-old came from the bench in the first game of the season as Real Madrid beat Deportivo Alaves on match-day one of the new Spanish league season.
His introduction saw him notch a goal in added time to open his goal-scoring account for the 2021/22 season.
In the 3-3 encounter with Levante, the youngster’s contribution was very much appreciated as Madrid picked up a vital point with Vinicius scoring two goals after coming off the bench once again.
The month of August saw the talented forward also earn a spot in Brazil’s squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Chile, Brazil, and Peru, while also being nominated for Madrid’s August player of the month award.
After the end of the voting, Vinicius Jr. has been awarded the award for what looks to be one of the many to come should he continue to replicate his early start to this campaign.

Vini Jr said: “I’m very happy with the good start to the season and very happy that everyone has shown me so much love. Thank you very much, I hope I can continue like this”.
In the month of September, the Brazilian has also popped up as a strong contender after his goals against Celta Vigo and Valencia respectively.
Vinicius has grown to become more potent in front of goal and seems to have found solid ground for this campaign, playing quite well alongside Karim Benzema in attack for the Los Blancos.
Compared to his last season league tally of three, Vinicius already has five to his name in just five games this season and has been praised by both his teammates and manager Carlo Ancelotti for his development in the past seasons.
