It will be a top-of-the-table clash on Sunday, November 28, when Real Madrid hosts Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Spanish La Liga.
Real Madrid is currently top of the summit with 30 points after 13 games played while Sevilla finds themselves in third position, two points off Carlo Ancelotti’s men. They come into the game at the off of a convincing win in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, where they beat Sheriff Tiraspol away from home.
Sevilla also saw off competition from the German side, Wolfsburg, beating them with a 2-0 scoreline at home to give themselves a chance of making it out of the group stages of the Champions League.
The game against Sevilla will kick start a round of tough fixtures for Madrid in the next few weeks with Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad all to come.
Sevilla has failed to pick up all maximum points in their last five attempts against Madrid in the Spanish top-flight. The Los Blancos have four wins during that period while the other one ended in a 2-2 draw.
Real Madrid beat Sevilla in their first encounter last season away from home before settling for a stalemate in the reverse fixture.
Julen Lopetuigi’s side last beat Madrid in 2018, a 3-0 victory during the Spaniard’s short stint at the Santiago Bernabeu.
