Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 stage of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Madrid finished top in Group D after picking up five wins from six group games while losing the other.
The Los Blancos toppled Inter Milan, Sheriff Tiraspol, and Shakhtar Donetsk to seal a first-place finish while PSG came out second in Group A, finishing behind Manchester City.
With a lot at stake for both teams, it will also mark an emotional return for players such as Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, Keylor Navas, and Angel Di Maria, who will be facing a club they once represented.

Madrid have played PSG six times in the Champions League in recent times dating back to the 2015/16 campaign. However, the pair last faced each other two seasons ago in the group stages.
During that time, Madrid have won three times with the French side also picking up one win with the other two games ending in stalemates.
UEFA made errors in the initial draw which was done and saw Madrid being drawn against Benfica.
As a result of this, the draw has been declared void and will be entirely redone at 15:00 CET.

The draw was then canceled with a re-draw ordered but Madrid were keen on painting their fixture with Benfica as it had no relation to the error that was made. But UEFA chose to redo everything from the scratch with Carlo Ancelotti’s men being paired with PSG in the second draw.
The first leg of the encounters are set for February 15/16/22/23 2022 while the reverse fixtures come off March 8/9/14/16.
