In the ongoing World Cup, we have seen a lot of top performances from players and one of them being Brazilian young forward Vinicius Junior.
Despite rumours claiming that the player is eyeing to terminate his contract with Nike after he was excluded from the company’s World Cup promotional video, the Real Madrid forward has continued his fine form from his club level to the national team level, becoming an undisputed starter for the Selecao.
In recent times, he’s been one of the best wingers in football and many football fanatics are talking about his progress as a player from the last two seasons to date. Questions are being asked about who has been key to his recent success.
It is believed that his club manager Carlo Ancelotti has been very key to the young forward’s impressive form over the last two seasons. Brazil’s head Coach Tite has also revealed that he seeked advice from Ancelloti on how to get the best out of Vinicius Junior for the World Cup campaign.
“I asked Ancelotti for advice on what we could do, what tactical features they used at Real Madrid so that he would play like he does there for the national team,” Tite said in the interview.
“We talked about offensive situations that would give him creative freedom, one-on-ones, the creative process. It is a beautiful and transparent thing of two technicians who want the best of him.”
In the three matches, he has been engaged in the FIFA World Cup, he has two assists and a goal to his name. His goal came in the round 16 clash against South Korea. Vinicius Jr is a real threat to any opponent he faces and his on and off-the-ball movement has been top-notch.
Much attention and spotlight is on the sensational forward especially as his team is amongst the top sides’ favorite to win the World Cup.
