After three impressive league games away from home to start their 2021/22 league campaign, Real Madrid is set for a return to the home grounds for the first home league game.
Real Madrid will return to the Santiago Bernabeu for the first time since a 2-0 win over Barcelona two seasons ago, in the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Los Blancos will play host to Celta Vigo on Sunday, looking to continue their unbeaten start to this season’s league campaign after three games played.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side has two wins and one draw from the three away games played prior to the international break and there is a huge desire to continue what they have started.
Celta on the other hand, has struggled since the commencement of 2021/22 Spanish top-flight, with a draw in their second game the only point they have taken so far.
Eduardo Coudet’s men lost to Atletico Madrid on the opening day of the league, were held by Osasuna in their second game before succumbing to defeat against Athletic Bilbao.
The most worrying situation for the team at the moment is the fact that they have only scored just one goal in those three games while conceding three.
For Madrid, wins over Deportivo Alaves and Real Betis and a 3-3 draw with Levante sees them occupy the top of the league table, having scored eight times and conceded four.
Celta Vigo’s last win over Madrid came in the 2017 Copa del Rey game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Since then, they have failed to record a win in any of the 10 games that have involved the pair, losing on seven occasions.
WHERE AND WHEN?
