Real Madrid loanee Oscar Rodriguez is attracting interest from rival club Villarreal, who are looking to sign him permanently in the summer.
The player has been good while on loan at Leganes in the 2019/20 La Liga season, scoring nine goals and assisting twice in 29 appearances.
Per reports from MARCA, Madrid are looking to cash in on Oscar Rodriguez and have set his value at €10 million, an amount Villarreal are willing to spend on the midfielder.
Should the Los Blancos decide to sell the player this summer, it is expected that they will insert a buy-back option in the deal to help them resign him when they feel he needs to be a part of the team. That is, Villarreal will only get 50% of the player’s rights.
Sevilla and Valencia are also said to be monitoring the situation of the player, but Villarreal have taken the lead in the chase for the midfielder following his impressive performances for Leganes.
The youngster will turn 22 on Sunday, June 28 and has a long career ahead of him due to his young age. But he would need to prove his consistency in the next few years to reach his full potential.
A place in Zinedine Zidane’s team seem impossible now considering the huge number of talents at the midfield department at the Santiago Bernabeu.
