Real Madrid have issued an official communication announcing the return of physical trainer Antonio Pintus ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The physical trainer was not a part of Zinedine Zidane’s team in the last two years after leaving for Inter Milan.
However, in an official statement on the club’s website, they have confirmed that Pintus will be back in the technical team of Carlo Ancelotti.
It reads: Real Madrid C. F. announces the incorporation of Antonio Pintus as first-team head of physical preparation and physical preparation methodology manager for all the football teams at the club.
Pintus will lead the physical training at the senior team coupled with taking care of the methods for physical training for the other football teams related to the club around La Frabrica.
His return is a huge boost for Madrid fans, who were hit with constant injury concerns and fitness issues during the 2020/21 season which saw the club record over 50 injuries.
Carlo Ancelotti will also be hoping that adding Pintus to his technical bench will be a huge motivator for his squad to stay healthy and fight every available trophy next season.
