Eintracht Frankfurt have expressed interest in the permanent signing of Luka Jovic from Real Madrid in the summer.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at the German side having secured a loan move in the January transfer window.

Jovic, who was expected to be a serious competitor for Karim Benzema at Real Madrid failed to convince the bosses at the Spanish capital after a one-and-half season at the Santiago Bernabeu which led to the club sanctioning his return to Germany.

However, Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic claimed that it will be an interesting situation to keep Jovic should Madrid decide to cash on the player in the summer.

“To dream is always allowed. We have a good relationship with Real Madrid and reached a good agreement for all parts involved this winter. Right now, we can’t say what will happen in the summer because it’s tough to make plans in this situation,” said Bobic.

As a way of integrating him into the team, the Serbia international has had to start all of his games at the club so far from the bench and Bobic gave a clue when the forward could be handed a starting berth.

“It will depend on Luka and how quickly he can recover the form he had previously here. Andre Silva is a very consistent player so we will have to wait and see if we change our formation, it will depend on many factors,” concluded Fredi Bobic.

Jovic has three goals so far for the club and Zinedine Zidane will definitely be keeping an eye on the performance of the youngster while he continues in Germany.
